Recycling Logo Brewers have always practiced re-using and re-cycling - long before it became the norm and at The Caledonian Brewery we are proud to continue this tradition.
  • The spent grains of cracked malt from the mash are rich in protein and are recycled into animal feed.
  • Empty kegs are collected, thoroughly washed and re-used. The average keg has a life of seven years.
  • Gravity flow is used to help move liquids round the brewery throughout the brewing process - minimising energy consumption and the impact of our brewing on the environment.
