Tasting Experience
“The world's first organic beer is full
of spicy aromas, with cinnamon and vanilla. It's got a light
clean, dry crisp start which is lively and quenching and
has a 'sherbet lemons' finish.”
Michael Jackson - Beer Writer commenting on Golden Promise, 'The Beer Hunter'
“Produced from the widely grown Target hop, the Chardonnay of the beer world. Depending where it's grown and how it's brewed, it can present aromas and flavours of orange peel and marmalade, spice and geranium. In the raw state it exhibits high alpha acids (bitterness levels), but here the brewer has so harmoniously melded and promoted the notes of yeast, nuts, spice and clean-cut orange marmalade, that the high bitter flavours are reduced to almost nothing.” Rating:
****
Martin Isark - commenting on Golden Promise, Scotland on Sunday
“Golden beer with a mellow, biscuity malt
aroma balanced by light floral hops and a hint of vanilla. Juicy
malt and tart, spicy hops dominate the mouth, while the finish
starts bitter-sweet but becomes dry and hoppy with hints of tangy
citrus fruits.”
Roger Protz - One of Britain's leading beer writers and editor of CAMRA's Good Beer Guide as well as a judge at the CAMRA Champion Beer of Britain competition.
